YogAcharya, Srividya Upasaka, Mahamandaleswar – Swami Shivananda Saraswati, teaches Tantra Yoga in Rome since the 1984.
He is the founder of the Surya Chandra Yoga Ashram in Rome (Italy);
He is General Secretary of the Global Yoga Alliance of Dheli, of the Federation of Italian Yoga Schools and of the Universal Sanatan Dharma Foundation (India) for Europe;
Fundamental for his vocational training was the meeting, in the 1988, with Guru Siddha Puja Yogashiromani Swami Maharaj, founder of the “Rishi Culture Ashtanga Yoga”;
In 2000 he has been recognized to the practice of Pujas (ritualistic) through the Diksha (initiation), by Pandit Nataraja Sastrikal of Pondicherry (Tamil Nadu – India);
In 2002 he was introduced to the Navavarana Puja Upasana of Dattatreya Sampradaya, the most pure tradition of tantrism, by the Master Guruji Amritananda Natha Saraswati, receiving his blessing to spread this ancient knowledge in accordance with the sacred tradition of the Sri Vidya (Sri Chakra);
The 8th Dicember 2007, he received the title of SWAMI through the celebration of a puja, by Swami Gurupriyananda Saraswati, president of the Yoga School Ananta Ashram and president of the Italian Federation of Yoga Schools;
On September 18 – 2009, he received the Diksha directly from Jagadguru Shankaracharya Omkarananda Saraswati di Prayag and was appointed secretary in Europe of the Universal Sanatan Dharam Foundation of Dheli (India);
On March 18 – 2010, during the Kumba Mela, in Haridwar (India), he had the honour to receive the title of Yog Mahamandaleshwar by H.H. Acharya Dr. Prabhakar Mishra, president of the World Religious Parliament, president of Brahmin World Federation and of Universal Sanathana Dharma Foundation.
He is often invited, in Italy and abroad, to hold courses, seminars and conferences about yoga, tantrism, Indian philosophy and Sri Vidya.
Yog Acharini, Swamini Savitri Saraswati started to study yoga in 1980 and followed the teaching of the master Swami Shivananda, on tantra yoga. Together they opened the school “Surya Chandra Yoga Ashram” in Rome – Italy.
She harmonically combined her pedagogical education with the practice of yoga, first on herself by living the motherhood experience as a period of deep awareness and of spiritual growth. In the years, she deepened the study in yoga, mainly applied to pregnancy.
In 1989 she started to teach yoga in pregnancy assisting women during the childbirth, if they wished, and teaching them the proper way to massage their baby after the birth. This knowledge has been enriched studying and exchanging experiences on the methods practiced in India.
She is founding member of the Italian Yoga Schools Federation.
The 8 December 2007, she received the title of Swamini, through the celebration of a puja, by Swami Gurupriyananda Saraswati , president of the Yoga School Ananta Ashram and of the Italian Yoga Schools Federation.
In September 2009, in occasion of the World Wide Yoga Conference in Rome, she had the honour to know Jagadguru Shankaracharya Omkarananda Saraswati receiving from Him the gift of the Mala of Prayag.
In March 2010, in India, she contributed at the foundation of the Global Yoga Alliance and received the title of Ratna Honour, from H.H. Acharya Dr. Prabhakar Mishra, president of World Religious Parliament, president of Brahmin Word Federation.
